Who we are
Peppes Hjemme is a series of tasty, traditional Peppes ingredients that give you the opportunity to create not only good moments, but also delicious pizza at home in your own kitchen.
A snapshot of Peppes in 2021
Peppes removed Carbon Black plastic on all toppings, resulting in up to 29.8 tonnes less carbon black. Carbon black is a product from crude oil. It gives a very even and good black color, which makes a good light filter for packaging. The disadvantage is that it is difficult to sort plastic that is colored with carbon black.
In 2021, we conducted language training among employees at our production site at Westend at Rud in Bærum. Several employees received a certificate in industrial food production.
Sustainability going forward
Peppes will in line with all production brands in Scandza continuously improve the environmental aspects of our operations and develop products that represent healthier and more sustainable alternatives to our customers. We will develop indicators to track and report our progress in line with the requirements from Scandza. Furthermore we will run our business aligned with the Scandza governance framework and participate in all centrally organized initiatives.
