Scandza ESG Report 2021Scroll down
“We promise to provide products with great taste, that are better for the environment, better for you and that engage your heart and mind.”Trond Haug, CEO of Scandza
Our approach to ESG
Our purpose is to be Proud to serve our kids. An important part of this purpose is acting responsibly, working towards being sustainable across all aspects of our business, and efficiently managing environmental, social, and governance (ESG) risks and opportunities. This enables us to provide great products that are better for the consumer and better for the environment across the markets we serve.
Great changes impacting us
Consumer habits are changing towards more healthy and sustainably produced foods. Stakeholders are seeking more ESG related information about our business than ever before, and international and national regulations regarding sustainability are tightening. We view these changes as an opportunity to position Scandza as a sustainable and responsible participant in our markets.
Being a responsible market participant has been a priority to Scandza since its establishment in 2007. In 2018, Scandza went from being a private equity funded company to an independently owned corporation. This was followed by the implementation of a more systematic and strategic approach to ESG.
